Tim hand-builds your AI

Tim writes a custom prompt and knowledge base specific to your business. Configures the voice, the tone, the languages, the booking flow. Tests it with real call scenarios.

You go live

Conditional call forwarding means the AI only picks up when your team can’t. Codes below work on Spark, One NZ, and 2degrees mobile. (Skinny doesn’t support call forwarding — see the Skinny card for what to do.)

Four ways to forward calls

Unconditional

Every call forwards to the AI. You never get the call directly.

Best for: After-hours only. Solo business owners on the road.

Recommended

No-answer

AI picks up after 3–5 rings if you don't answer. You get first dibs on every call.

Best for: Most businesses. Front desk + AI safety net.

When busy

AI picks up if your line is already engaged with another call.

Best for: Solo operators who can only handle one call at a time.

Combined conditional

AI picks up on no-answer + busy + unreachable. Maximum coverage in one setup.

Best for: Businesses that don't want to miss a single call, ever.

Spark's own docs show a longer format (*21*[number]*11#) — both work on Spark mobile. iPhone users on Spark can't adjust the no-answer ring delay (Android only). Spark fibre/wireless landline: dial *17# for immediate divert, *16# for no answer, *15# for busy, *94# for unreachable. Or set up via MySpark → Products and services → [your landline] → General settings → Call diversion.

2degrees lets you set the ring delay (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 seconds — in 5-second steps) via the **61* code. Recommended: 20-25 seconds (4-5 rings). The **004* shortcut sets all three conditional diverts at once if you don't want to dial three separate codes.

Skinny

Mobile

Call forwarding isn’t supported on Skinny

Skinny’s official help page lists call forwarding under “unsupported services”. Even though Skinny runs on the Spark network, it sits on a separate provisioning stack with the feature switched off. Codes you dial will fail.

Option 1 — Port your Skinny number to Spark, One NZ, or 2degrees

Keep the same number, unlocks full call forwarding. Tim walks you through the port at onboarding (takes ~24 hours).

Option 2 — Keep Skinny for personal, run business calls on a separate SIM

Get a Spark, One NZ, or 2degrees business line. Forward that to your AI receptionist.

We sort the porting paperwork for you — just flag “I’m on Skinny” when you book your onboarding call.
